About Us
Hey there!
My name is Amber, owner of Boho Pretty Boutique as well as B. Pretty Marketing. I have to say, I'm pretty obsessed with owning a small business and absolutely love helping others live their dream of owning a successful small business also! I have over twenty years experience in Fashion Marketing and have always loved finding creative ways of building a brand, finding new customers, and creating unique shopping experiences. With a Master's of Art (focus in Apparel Design and Fashion Merchandising/Marketing), I was able to teach what I love. I had the opportunity to teach Fashion Merchandising and Marketing at the college level for over nine years along with being a boutique owner for over sixteen years.
As a boutique owner myself, I knew that I needed to learn more about Pinterest as a platform for reaching a larger audience. As I researched, I found that so many other boutiques were not utilizing this huge marketing opportunity! With over 400 million users searching a month, I knew that not only my own boutique, but other fellow boutique owners should be jumping on this train. In the height of a social media era, Pinterest is unlike so many other platforms that small businesses spend countless hours focusing on. Don't get me wrong, you should be using those channels too, but let's not forget about Pinterest. Pinterest is more SEO than social, meaning that it's not another platform to manage comments and engagement. Another amazing thing is that Pins are Evergreen. What does that mean? Unlike a social post that will be buried by others, a Pin will live forever and can resurface and even go viral years later, driving new traffic to your website. Creating the right visual content along with having a solid keyword strategy can help drive new traffic to your website long after you post.
I've spent a lot of time researching and learning as much as I can through paid courses and continued paid Pinterest marketing groups so that I can stay up to date on Pinterest Best Practices. I have since seen my own success with driving new traffic from Pinterest to my own online boutique. I understand the unique challenges of a boutique owner and that there's not a lot of time left at the end of the day to add one more thing to your to do list, but I truly believe that Pinterest should be part of every small business SEO strategy and long term marketing plan. I also understand that learning a new platform can be intimidating. That's why I've created products and services that will not only save you time, but help guide you and challenge you to get the most out of your marketing efforts. My products and services are geared toward boutiques, fashion blogs, and other creative small brands with a focus in fashion.
Outside of running my own business, I'm a wife, mother to Hudson and Cooper, and to our two golden retrievers, two cats, and two bunnies! We live in northern Indiana where we love Notre Dame, summer time, Lake Michigan beaches, and camping.
I sincerely hope that we can connect and that I can be a small part in your small business journey and success.
